Raquel & Evan

An absolutely gorgeous wedding...reflective of this gorgeous couple.  Raquel and Evan are meant for each other.  God clearly brought them together to do His work with twice the power.

Elegant. Beautiful. Classic. Each detail of the day was planned so perfectly...yet the couple and the entire family knew that the marriage, and its foundation, was the most important detail.  Let's back up to the preparations though...

The robes were the perfect touch for the bride and bridesmaids' morning in the penthouse.  And coffee, of course.  It was such a touching moment as Raquel opened her gift from Evan.  Stunning earrings...but the receipt from their first date was enclosed making it the most thoughtful gift ever.

Preparations closed with a prayer and off went the beautiful bride with her daddy down the aisle.

The ceremony captured the heartbeat of this couple as they became one.  And then it was off to the ballroom!

The dance floor was never bare, and this couple enjoyed every single minute of their celebration.  Photo booth included.

Congratulations Raquel & Evan!  So excited to see what God has in store for your marriage...He certainly blessed you with each other and the most perfect wedding day.

Morgan & Brent

What a privilege it was to be a part of Morgan & Brent's wedding day!  They are beautiful, inside and out.  God clearly blessed them with each other...and with all their friends and family supporting them.

The sunshine was plentiful, which only highlighted Morgan's radiant smile.  These two...so in love.

It was an absolute joy to hang out with this large wedding party.  Some of the guys'  friendships started in grade school, some from college days, and some from the baseball field.  Great group of men.

Meanwhile, the ladies were putting the finishing touches on each other with laughter and a few tears.  Morgan is so well loved...and so incredibly gorgeous.

And the moment these two have been waiting for...meeting each other at the altar, seeing each other for the first time that day.

The fun continued at Wildlife Prairie Park...a reception full of laughter, love, and the perfect celebration of a marriage that was meant to be.

This Bible verse sums it up well for these two.  I wish you both the very best in your new life together.  I have no doubt God will use you both in great ways.

Rebecca & Tim

Such a gorgeous day for this gorgeous couple.  Rebecca and Tim...what a joy it was to see your smiles all day long!  Your love and the love of family and friends around you was so evident and so beautiful.

Their first look was a hot one and the temperature continued to soar to almost 100 degrees that day...but they didn't care.  She was breathtaking, he was speechless.  Perhaps a few tears were shed as they realized this was the day, the first day of the rest of their lives as Mr. & Mrs.

The wedding party was beyond fun...all day long.  Smiles and laughs were abundant.

Such a beautiful bride.  Everyone in the room right before the ceremony kept gasping, taking pictures, and even crying.  There's a lot of love in this crew.  Tim even sent flowers in the morning to greet his bride.

The ceremony was perfect.  So many people came to celebrate and support this great couple.

After a brief stop at Jimmy's to celebrate, we continued to brave the heat for a few more pictures.  This wedding party...fun.  Seriously, the laughs just kept on rolling.

As for the reception, it is impossible to pick out the best parts.  The photo booth? The delicious and stunning cake? The touching toasts? The emotional dances leading to tears of joy? Or perhaps the one-of-a-kind dance put on by parents of the groom and their friends?

Congrats Rebecca & Tim!  May your lifelong marriage be as joyous as your wedding day.

Hakes Family

Such a gorgeous family of five...loving, laid-back, and full of life.  Spending a few hours with the Hakes family just makes you feel like you're part of the family.

The smiles on these adorable faces!!  I can't believe how fast they have all grown up since this pretty little lady's newborn session last year.

Sunset and wildflowers are the absolute best for timeless pictures...but the love between this mom and dad is the true foundation for this family.  And THAT is what makes these pictures truly special.

Sweet Ishani

This girl.  She is so full of life, energy, smiles, and pure kindness.  I could photograph her for days.

While I typically spend some time playing with kids, finding bugs, chasing toddlers, or playing hide-and-seek before I grab the camera...not this time.  I barely had the camera out of the bag before she was ready for her modeling career to take off.

Her mom and grandma are her world, her love, and her strong foundation.  What a gift to capture it through pictures...for me to witness and for them to treasure forever.

Ishani, it was so fun to spin around, dance, and blow dandelions with you.  Can't wait to crunch the fall leaves...tell your mom I will find, or make, the biggest leaf pile ever!  Any girl who brings me so many smiles, and brings me the most perfect art for my office wall, deserves the best!!

Newlyweds Allison & Loy

The joy these two shared overpowered Mother Nature.  Saturday was full of smiles, laughter, and love.  The rain had no chance of saddening this beautiful bride...Allison was full of grace, flexibility, poise, and calmness as she fully enjoyed each moment of the day.  Isn't she gorgeous?

Simple and elegant.  Those closest to Allison & Loy enjoyed all the excitement from beginning to end of the day.  It was so beautiful to share in such an intimate wedding party.

Just look at these sweet boys watching the bride and groom head to the reception hall to see the absolutely stunning set up with flowers from Create A Scene and attention to each detail by So Chic Events.  Friends and family enjoyed watching the newlyweds tie the knot and begin their lives as Mr. & Mrs.

And then the party truly started.  The dance floor came alive and hours passed with guests showing off their moves in celebration of Allison & Loy.

All the best to you both.  May your marriage be as strong as the knot you tied Saturday.

Mr. & Mrs. Perez

Congratulations to the beautiful Kait & Adrian Perez!  The sun was shining, the flowers were blooming, and God was smiling as they tied the knot Saturday.

They saved their first kiss for the ceremony...and it was 100% celebration every minute afterwards.  This wedding party was beyond fun.  I found myself worshipping hard at the ceremony and dancing hard at the reception.  Each smile and laugh so genuine from all friends and family that day.

It was not surprising to me at all to find an open Bible in each room where preparations were happening.  Sure, there was the typical hustle and bustle of getting every last hair in place, perfecting the bow tie knot, and taking just one more selfie.  However, both Kait and Adrian made it a priority to start this marriage with God in the driver's seat.

Great looking wedding party, huh?  And you'll see below, it was such a breathtaking moment when a beautiful, radiant, beaming bride walked down the aisle to her groom.  He had not seen her before this moment.  And complete awe spilled out of his eyes in tears of gratitude.

I'm pretty sure everyone could've gone home after the ceremony with joyful smiles for days...but there was more partying to be done.  So, off we went to the most beautiful reception site along the river.  And I have never seen dancing like this crowd pulled off!

The dance floor was never empty.  And I was dancing right along with them.

All the best to you, Kait & Adrian.  I am blessed to know you as sweet friends and to be able to document this amazing day.  I can't wait to see what God has in store for you next...as a team.

Cows, Kids and a Camera

A field trip to the dairy farm?  100% Yes, Please!  Extremely honored and excited to be invited...begged...to go by my first grade son.  Yet, I was not surprised when he chose to hang out with his friends instead.  Not to worry, this photog mama had her camera ready and had the perfect morning of capturing the essence of 30 adorable kids and 100 smelly cows.

I was having a great time going beyond the boundary lines the kids had to stop at and climbing the who-knows-what piles to get just the right shot.  Little did I know, a few kids were watching me.  One little girl came to me to tell me that the black cow with the orange hair was really pretty, and I needed to get a picture of that one.  To her shock, I quickly handed over my camera and taught her how to shoot a "big fancy camera".  Her awesome picture is above in the middle.

So, I'm clearly not a farm girl, but I had no idea that cows were born without teeth.  I also had no idea that being a human pacifier for them was part of the tour.  Impressive.

On to the chickens, horses, and goats.  Love the way these sweet friends walk from place to place.  Field trips tend to have much more to them than just learning something new.

This field trip was a success.  Thanks to Linden Hill Farms for letting us learn first-hand how much work it is to get a gallon of milk.  And thanks to my son for inviting me.  I will ALWAYS make time if you invite me.
